Startup Newsletter - Innovators Can Laugh
How to get the best ROI out of being a guest on a podcast ποΈ
PREPARATION:
- Send a good photo of you that the host can use to promote the show
- Share your social media handles (can tag you when the show is released)
- Send the host various questions that you wouldn’t mind answering related to your product or service along with product images that may be used on the podcast’s website or newsletter
DURING INTERVIEW:
- Be in a quiet location where there is good lighting.
- Relax. Think Elon Musk when he was smoking a J on Joe’s Rogan's podcast π¬
- Define the one key thing that you want listeners to remember and mention it 3x
DURING/POST INTERVIEW:
- End with a call to action: direct listeners somewhere specific
- Ask the host if he/she recommends anyone they can connect you with
- Connect with previous guests who were on the show via LinkedIn (i.e. “I was recently on x-show and I saw that you were a guest. Would love to connect”)
π€ Be human. Be nice. You and the host are there to have good time!

The End
Great day and lovely weather in the Buch!
This weekend I head to Hungary to hangout with the OptiMonk team. Hopefully my right calf heals before then. I don’t know what it is, but once I turned 40, various parts of my body just break down or get injured for no reason!
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading. If you enjoyed this, I’d love it if you shared it with a friend : )
